Professional Chainsaw Operators Course             Description: Designed to give you the edge on safety in chainsaw operation, the Professional Chainsaw Operators course is designed for individuals who may work in a logging operation and those who may fell trees or brush in the workplace. This course begins in the classroom and then practical experience is gained by exercising the techniques and procedures in a cutting environment. Valid for 3 years.


Safe Chainsaw Handling & Maintenance Course                This half-day program is designed for those who do not fell trees but use a saw on occasion to cut timber or trim the end of a log. This course begins in the classroom and then practical experience is gained by exercising the techniques and procedures in a cutting environment. Valid for 3 years.

WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) incorporates aspects of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals, also referred to as GHS, which was developed by the United Nations, in cooperation with all member states, as an international system of hazard communication. On February 11, 2015, the Hazardous Products Regulations (HPR), in addition to amendments made to the Hazardous Products Act (HPA), updated WHMIS to incorporate the GHS for workplace chemicals.
